We have been learning to write a procedure.
The children read the book 'The Snake Cake' about a Queen who didn't want a normal cake for her birthday. the children then wrote how the cake was made as a procedure. Once they had written the procedure we followed it to make the cake ourselves.

Goal: to make a snake cake
Materials:
Ingredients Equipment
biscuits paper
jam bowls
icing knives
lollies spoons
Steps:
1. Wash your hands.
2. Lay out the paper
3. Open packet of biscuits and jam jar.
4. Spread jam on the biscuits.
5. Sandwich biscuits.
6. Stick biscuits into a snake shape.
7. Make one bowl of white icing and a small bowl of pink icing.
8. Put the icing on the biscuits.
9. Put the lollies on the icing.
10. Eat the cake!
